LCD projector is a product of the combination of LCD display technology and projection technology. It makes use of the electro-optical effect of liquid crystal and controls the transmittance and reflectivity of liquid crystal unit through the circuit, thus producing beautiful images with different gray levels and up to 16.7 million colors. The main imaging device of LCD projector is the liquid crystal panel. The size of the LCD projector depends on the size of the LCD panel. The smaller the LCD panel, the smaller the size of the projector.
According to electro-optical effect, liquid crystal materials can be divided into active liquid crystal and inactive liquid crystal, among which the active liquid crystal has high light transmittance and controllability. Liquid crystal panels use active liquid crystal, people can control the brightness and color of the liquid crystal panel through the relevant control system. As with LCDS, the LCD projector USES a twisted nematic liquid crystal. The light source of the LCD projector is a special high-power bulb, the luminous energy is much higher than that of the CRT projector using fluorescence, so the brightness and color saturation of the LCD projector are higher than that of the CRT projector. The pixel of LCD projector is the liquid crystal unit on the liquid crystal board. Once the liquid crystal board is selected, the resolution is basically determined. Therefore, the function of adjusting the resolution of LCD projector is worse than that of CRT projector.
According to the number of the internal LCD panel, the projector can be divided into single-chip type and three-chip type. Three-piece LCD projector USES red, green and blue LCD panels as the control layer of red, green and blue light. The white light emitted by the light source will converge to the splitter lens group after passing through the lens group. The red light will first be separated and projected onto the red liquid crystal panel. The image information "recorded" by the liquid crystal panel in terms of transparency will be projected to generate the red light information in the image. The green light is projected onto the green liquid crystal panel to form the green light information in the image. Similarly, the blue light passes through the blue liquid crystal panel to generate the blue light information in the image. The light of the three colors will converge in the prism and be projected onto the projection screen by the projection lens to form a full-color image. The three-piece LCD projector has higher image quality and brightness than the single-piece LCD projector.
