The development of mini LED

Currently, the application of Mini LED is mainly divided into two parts: one is used as backlight for LCD products, and the other is used as large-size display panel. At the same time, mid-size high-end products such as monitor, notebook and car can also be used. As the core device providing display and backlight, Mini LED can not only realize curved surface display and ultra-thin application, but also have obvious advantages in wide color gamut, HDR display, dynamic area adjustment and other aspects.
For panel manufacturers, Mini LED backlight combined with high-end LCD panel can meet the demand of higher-end products, so as to provide another solution for problems such as low yield of AMOLED and defects in the properties of components.
From a technical point of view, Mini LED technology is better than OLED in color contrast, energy saving and life span, and it can also solve the OLED screen burning problem. More importantly, the Mini LED could break OLED's monopoly on high-end panels and give manufacturers another choice

Compared with traditional displays, Mini leds have better display, higher contrast and longer life. At the same time, compared with OLED, Mini LED has more diversity in product composition and higher yield. However, OLED and Mini LED backboard LCD will be complementary and coexist for a long time.
